Home improvement wires can generally use BVR, BVVR, BV, BVV, etc., among which there are soft wires and hard wires. BVVR and BVVR are soft wires, and BV and BVV are hard wires.
BVR and BVVR are single-core, multi-strand flexible wires, and BV and BVV are single-core, single-stranded hard wires. Compared with multi-strands, the hardness is greater and the mechanical strength is greater. We usually call it hard wire, so it is Strong tensile strength, not easy to oxidize, and long service life. It is relatively resistant to short-circuit current and easy to form, so it is better to use hard wires as the control cabinet. If it is a threaded tube, it is much more difficult than a flexible wire and wiring is more difficult. (BV is a single-core single-layer hard wire, BVV is a single-core double-layer hard wire)
In terms of construction, the wiring of BV and BVV single-stranded hard wires is relatively not so easy, and it is easy to deal with problems. In general, home improvement and electricians prefer to use BVR and BVVR single-core multi-strand flexible wires. The threading and wiring are relatively simple and convenient. It is easier than BV and BVV.
In terms of price, BVR and BVVR multi-strand flexible wires are laborious and costly in process production. Hard wires are easier to produce and time-saving, so the cost is lower.
From the current carrying capacity point of view, the hard wire has a relatively strong endurance. However, in general household use, the current basically does not exceed 100A, so it is better to use BVR and BVVR multi-strand flexible wires.
The single-strand hard wire is better than the multi-strand flexible wire in oxidation resistance and service life. Especially if the use time is relatively long, the advantage of single-strand is quite obvious. If a part of the flexible copper wire is too thin, it is easy to oxidize.
